TPLink Distribution Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (TP-Link Malaysia) has entered a three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT) to expand industry-academia collaboration focused on enterprise networking skills and workforce readiness.
Under the partnership, TP-Link Malaysia said it will deploy its Omada enterprise networking solutions within TAR UMT’s learning environment to provide students with hands-on exposure to networking infrastructure used in enterprise settings.
The company said the MoU also includes access to technical workshops, knowledge-sharing sessions and a pathway to the Omada Certified Network Administrator (OCNA) certification. TAR UMT students are also expected to have access to internship and industrial training opportunities with TP-Link Malaysia.

The organisations said they will also explore research, technical knowledge exchange and faculty engagement initiatives. TP-Link Malaysia said the partnership adds to its academic collaborations in Malaysia, citing Universiti Malaya, Universiti Teknologi MARA, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia and New Era University College.
