In a unique industry partnership arrangement, the Top Women in Security in Malaysia awards, part of a global campaign by the Women in Security & Resilience Alliance (WISECRA), bring together Malaysian Women in Security (MYWiS) and Malaysia Chapters of premier, global security industry associations, ISACA Malaysia Chapter and ASIS International Malaysia Chapter. The awards will be co-organised with MySecurity Media, a regional security industry publisher, including ASEANtechsec.com and Asia Pacific Security Magazine.
The Top Women in Security in Malaysia awards follow similar initiatives in Singapore, Philippines, and India, as well as Africa, Europe and Canada.
By offering recognition to women working in the field, other women may be inspired to consider the security profession as a career, which in turn helps address a common imbalance and contributes to diversity,” said Bonnie Butlin, the founder and international coordinator of WISECRA, a global network of female security professionals.
Nominees must be women with more than three years of experience in the Malaysian security industry, be that in cybersecurity, electronics, physical and management roles. Self-nominations are welcomed.
Nominations are scheduled to close on October 23, 2020 where they will be judged by an esteemed group of panellists and winners will be announced and recognized in early December with a virtual awards ceremony.
