Neolix has signed a distribution partnership with Sunway Group to explore deploying autonomous delivery vehicles in Malaysia, targeting last-mile delivery and the transport of goods and medical supplies across Sunway’s integrated townships and businesses.
The companies said the arrangement was formalised through a memorandum of understanding and announced at Transport Expo Asia (TXA) 2026. Sunway operates across property, construction, healthcare, retail and hospitality in Malaysia.
Sunway Group President Datuk Anuar Taib announced the partnership at the event, which was hosted by Malaysia’s Ministry of Transport and attended by the Minister of Transport. The companies said the agreement sits within a broader set of future-mobility initiatives unveiled by Sunway.
Neolix said Malaysia is among its more advanced Southeast Asian markets and that it has been conducting sandbox testing in the country for the past three months. The company said the safety assessment is nearing completion and the sandbox program is expected to enter the Vehicle Type Approval (VTA) stage.
Neolix also said it has other partners in Malaysia, including Tiong Nam Logistics, SF Express, PLS and Mindhub.
“Malaysia is one of Southeast Asia’s most dynamic logistics markets, and we believe the best way to serve it is alongside the partners who know it best,” said Zhao Xin, Head of Southeast Asia at Neolix. “Our vehicles are already running on Malaysian roads in the colors of local partners like Tiong Nam Logistics and SF Express. Working together with Sunway, PLS, Mindhub and the wider local ecosystem, we want to put technology already proven on public roads around the world to work for Malaysian businesses — and grow together with the local logistics community.”
“The initiatives reflect the group’s ambition to harness innovation to improve quality of life while supporting Malaysia’s participation in the next generation of transportation technologies,” said Datuk Anuar Taib, President of Sunway Group. “The collaborations could also create opportunities for technology transfer, talent development and greater involvement of Malaysian businesses in emerging industries.”
