Security 2011 Exhibition, Asia Pacific’s must-attend security trade show, awarded the winner of the 2011 Best New Product Award to FLIR Systems Australia for their FLIR Thermal Fence.

FLIR Thermal Fence is the only IP solution on the market bringing the control and monitoring of all the perimeter security sensors together in one fully-integrated, geo-referenced display. Thermal Fence secures an area in conditions such as total darkness, fog, rain or blinding sunshine, effectively protecting compounds from attacks and vandalism 24/7.

Farm Cam Pty Ltd and TAKEX Australia were named runners up.

Farm Cam’s Digilant® Solar-Cam™ is a ‘wire free’ image monitoring solution for remote locations. The solar powered camera is independent of external power and as such ideal for application in rural and agricultural surroundings. Images are sent via an internal 3G modem to a mobile, monitoring station & map based web interface. The camera can be activated by wireless PIRs and IR spotlights.

TX-124R is a new edition to TAKEX’s range of ultra violet, naked flame sensors. The TX-124R is an outdoor flame sensor designed to be connected to third party wireless transmitters, ideal to detect fire outdoors where cabling is not possible.

The awards criteria included innovation, originality, and whether the security industry can genuinely benefit from the product. Ease of integration into the current market place as well as likely uptake in the industry were the other factors taken into consideration.

“The quality of entries is very impressive this year. Although the solutions and services at our New Product Alley are so diverse, they all have one thing in common – they solve real-world security challenges in an innovative way,” said Kobe Johns, Exhibition Manager for Security 2011 Exhibition at Diversified Exhibitions Australia.

Security 2012 Exhibition will return to Sydney on July 25 – 27, 2012. For more information visit www.securityexpo.com.au
