Blackwall partners with HostVN to launch web traffic security service in Vietnam

European web traffic security company Blackwall has announced a partnership with Vietnam-based digital infrastructure provider HostVN to launch a website protection service aimed at small and mid-sized organisations seeking managed security capabilities.

The companies said the offering, branded “HOSTVN Website Protection — powered by Blackwall”, will be integrated into HostVN’s hosting infrastructure and include application-layer (Layer 7) DDoS defence, bot mitigation, a web application firewall (WAF), SSL management and content caching.

The announcement positions Vietnam as Blackwall’s first publicly disclosed entry into Southeast Asia, with the company indicating Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand as potential follow-on markets. The release also notes Blackwall has announced a Series B funding round to support international expansion, but provides no further details.

Blackwall said its platform is designed for delivery via hosting and cloud infrastructure providers, operating as a reverse proxy that inspects traffic using multiple detection methods, including signature analysis, device fingerprinting, IP reputation scoring and behavioural algorithms.

The partnership comes as organisations globally face rising volumes of automated traffic, which can translate into both security risks and operational costs. The release cites Statista Research estimating that more than half of web traffic is generated by automated bots.

HostVN, founded in 2007, said it serves more than 50,000 customers and operates what it describes as “Clean Traffic” infrastructure connected to major domestic carriers. Under the agreement, HostVN will package and deliver the protection service to customers, with pricing available directly from HostVN.

The companies said the service has been available to HostVN customers since 20 May 2026.
