WatchGuard Technologies, a global leader in multi-function firewalls, has announced the appointment of Gurkirat Singh as Australia’s Northern Region Territory Sales Manager.
Based in Sydney, Singh is responsible for account management and new business development in New South Wales, Queensland, the ACT and Northern Territory. His responsibilities extend to supporting new and existing WatchGuard channel partners as well as developing strategies to generate leads and drive revenue.
Singh joins WatchGuard Technologies with more than 18 years of experience 
in the IT industry in senior business development roles. In one of his previous and more recent roles, Singh worked for Hewlett-Packard as Country Manager for the HP Networking business unit. The role specifically targeted strategic business development and channel strategy in addition to general management. During this time his achievements included significantly increasing revenue through establishing performance solution selling strategies and niche partnership development driving the business unit from an initial start to holding second position for market share.
Singh has also held sales and marketing management roles at both Ingram Micro and Optima Computer Technologies where he achieved significant sales growth for both companies and was recognised for his contribution in driving and exceeding revenue targets.
