The opening ceremony on March 6th was attended by many ministry officials including Ministry of Science and ICT, Ministry of the Interior and Safety, and Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and heads security related organizations. Starting with opening speech from Choi So Young, chairman of SECON & eGISEC Organizing Committee, the opening ceremony was followed by welcome speech from Choi Jang Hyuk, director of electronic government at MOIS, and congratulatory speeches from Park Sun Ja, national assembly member of Land Infrastructure & Transport Committee, Lee Sang Min, national assembly member of Science, ICT, Broadcasting and Communications Committee, and Song Hee Kyung, national assembly member of Science, ICT, Broadcasting and Communications Committee at The National Assembly of the Republic of Korea.
Also, the award ceremony was held at the same time which 13 CCTV men of merits ensuring urban safety from local governments throughout the country received MOIS Minister prizes.
Leading Domestic & International Security Companies at One Place
SECON 2019 featured impressive participation with a total of 450 exhibiting companies from 62 countries, 1,100 booths and 21,300㎡ show size at KINTEX, Korea. Especially, leading domestic and international security companies including S1, Hanwha Techwin, SK Telecom, ADT Caps, CUDO COMMUNICATION , HIKVISION, DAHUA and ZKTeco converged at the show.

Hanhwa Techwin has gained a big attention from the visitors with their latest technology and solution every year. This year, Hanhwa Techwin is planning to make visitors to familiarize with AI technology, focusing on ‘customer experience,’
