NTT Ltd has been selected as a network partner to one of the world’s most recognised chain restaurants in Taiwan.
With this appointment, NTT will support the client in the relocation of its internet data centre (IDC) and migration to managed cloud services. Working closely with NTT DATA and Dell EMC, NTT will implement the latest SAP HANA, a business critical database platform that processes real-time business transactions and analytics to facilitate decision making. Empowered with operational intelligence, the client will be able to improve the consumers’ experience at the restaurant, from ordering and payment to delivery.
Compatible with the NMSAP backup solution and the virtual HANA database, SAP HANA supports automated backup and recovery across both physical and virtual environments. Along with the ease of scheduling routine backups by the NetWorker console, the client can be assured of minimal downtime and optimal uptime.
With the implementation, the client will be able to enhance the agility of its network infrastructure, performance and maintenance as it embarks on an expansion. Importantly, the solution will effectively improve the transaction speed as compared to the legacy system and reduce database license and maintenance costs.
General Manager for Dimension Data Taiwan, Frank Liao said, “We are delighted with the opportunity to continue our longstanding partnership with the world’s leading chain restaurant. Having worked with the client for the past five years, we are confident of bringing our technical expertise and support services to help them plan, install and manage SAP HANA along with the relocation of its IDC. This project not only reflects our close collaboration with NTT DATA and Dell EMC, but also the client’s trust in our ability to deliver reliable enterprise solutions to help them stay ahead in the industry”.
