The Singapore Computer Society (SCS) has re-elected Lim Bee Kwan for a second term as president following its 59th annual general meeting on 19 March 2026.

Lim, who is chief executive officer of Assurity Trusted Solutions, will lead SCS during the 2026/2027 term as the industry body continues efforts focused on workforce skills development and cross-sector collaboration tied to Singapore’s digital economy.

SCS said it plays a role in convening technology professionals, businesses, educators and policymakers to support capability development and industry-wide dialogue as digital transformation continues across Singapore’s industries.

In an update on 2025 activity, SCS cited a membership base of close to 55,000 and the introduction of four professional certifications covering Digital Sustainability, Digital Sustainability for Strategic Leaders, Digital Resilience, and Responsible GenAI Governance. It also reported launching a Quantum Technologies Special Interest Group, developing a Skills Pathway for Cloud as a SkillsFuture Singapore skills development partner, and integrating verifiable badges into its Careers & Skills Passport for selected certifications.

SCS also pointed to its engagement programme, including hosting more than 700 attendees at its Tech3 Forum, receiving nearly 750 nominations for the fourth edition of Singapore 100 Women in Tech (including a Girls in Tech category), onboarding the London School of Business and Finance as its 22nd student chapter, and conducting six collaborative sessions with 10 non-tech trade associations and chambers.

Lim said the society would continue its work in partnership with committees, volunteers and ecosystem stakeholders. “We made good progress in 2025, and I am confident we will stay on course in advancing our purpose,” she said in a statement.

The newly elected executive council includes representatives from government, major technology companies, financial services and academia. SCS said the group is intended to support its mission to strengthen professional capabilities, foster industry collaboration and support Singapore’s digital economy.

For the 2026/2027 term, SCS said it plans to deepen its focus on areas including artificial intelligence governance, digital trust and workforce transformation.
