Saviynt has appointed Clinton Mottram as Head of Application Identity Security for Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ), based in Singapore.
According to the company, Mottram will lead identity security efforts for applications across APJ, working with customers on governance, risk and compliance requirements while supporting organisations seeking to scale AI with greater visibility and control.
The company said the appointment comes as organisations in the region modernise IT environments, increase AI adoption and seek to strengthen identity security across more complex digital ecosystems.
In the role, Mottram will work with customers and partners across APJ on application access governance, with a focus on managing access, risk and compliance across business-critical applications. Saviynt said he will also focus on improving visibility into how identities access critical systems and strengthening controls as organisations adopt new technologies, including AI.
Mottram joins Saviynt with more than 25 years’ experience in the IT industry across sales, consulting and strategic partnerships. Most recently, he was an Enterprise Sales Leader at Amazon Web Services in Singapore, where he worked on enterprise revenue growth and SAP cloud transformation strategy across ASEAN, including partner-led sales approaches for SAP workloads on AWS. He previously held senior roles at SoftwareOne and spent 14 years at SAP.
“Australian and New Zealand private and public sector organisations are accelerating their adoption of AI while also having to navigate increased complex application, regulatory and compliance environments ,” said James Ross, Regional Vice President – ANZ, Saviynt. “Clinton’s extensive SAP expertise coupled with his deep knowledge of emerging technology and AI will prove invaluable in fostering customer innovation and bring a competitive edge to our regional business operations at a time when organisations are reinforcing their application identity security and turbocharging their ambitions to safely embrace AI.”
“Having worked with some of the region’s largest and most complex enterprise environments, I have seen how challenging it can be to maintain strong governance as organisations modernise applications and adopt AI,” said Mottram. “I’m looking forward to working with organisations across APJ to strengthen access governance, improve visibility and control, and help them securely scale AI while managing risk. Saviynt is well positioned to support organisations through this next phase of transformation, and I’m pleased to be part of that journey.”
Saviynt said the appointment aligns with its increased engagement with the SAP ecosystem, following its availability in the SAP Marketplace.
