Avanade has launched a new agentic AI platform and a regional AI Modernization Hub in Malaysia, expanding its efforts to help midmarket organisations across Asia Pacific adopt and scale artificial intelligence. The two initiatives, announced on 19 November, aim to provide practical, deployable AI solutions built on Microsoft technologies rather than pilot-stage experimentation.
The Avanade Agentic Platform is designed to help businesses implement AI systems with measurable operational impact. It includes a library of pre-built agents and industry-specific templates that integrate with Microsoft Copilot Studio and Azure Foundry, enabling automation, productivity improvements and data-driven insights while maintaining human oversight. Avanade says the platform draws on a decade of AI investment and its long-standing partnership with Microsoft.
To support wider regional adoption, Avanade has also opened its APAC AI Modernization Hub in Kuala Lumpur. The centre brings together more than 100 specialists in AI and Microsoft technologies to assist midmarket organisations in modernising their operations and becoming “AI-ready.” The hub provides industry-tailored solutions for sectors such as finance, manufacturing, healthcare, retail and consumer goods, along with services covering data, security and cloud modernisation. It also includes an AI Co-Innovation Lab where organisations can prototype and scale new solutions.
Avanade APAC President Bhavya Kapoor said midmarket companies across the region are eager to adopt AI but need real-world, scalable tools rather than prolonged trials. Microsoft’s Corporate Vice President for Asia SME+C, Rachel Bondi, said the partnership will help organisations innovate at speed and achieve measurable outcomes by combining Microsoft’s AI capabilities with Avanade’s industry expertise.
Early deployments have already produced tangible results, including thousands of work hours saved through automation at PageGroup and significantly faster customer-response times at Japan Airlines. Colonial First State also credited Avanade with helping it adopt generative AI safely and develop a clear transformation roadmap.
Both the Avanade Agentic Platform and the APAC AI Modernization Hub are now available to support organisations at any stage of their AI modernisation journey.
